Again, Thanks FUP!

Road Trip #21: The One with the Reunion with a Elementary Classmate

After deciding the venue and date of our prenup with our wedding photographer, I faced a problem on choosing a hmua.
Madami kong options na pinagpilian:
  1. Use my free prenup hmu from my wedding hmua. - Since the venue of the shoot is super layo sa Manila and I will be coming from Cabanatuan na on that day, this option was scrapped.
  2. Use my entourage hmua again - problem with this is the transpo. So, this was scrapped, too.
  3. Find a hmua in Nueva Ecija, or at least from Region 3.
The third option is the most realistic, so I've decided to scout other hmua closer to home. Then, I saw in FB na a former classmate from elementary is now is the hmu business na. So i messaged her in FB, asked her rates, haggle ng konti.

They (together with kaye, her hair stylist) were very professional nung shoot. Kahit mabilisan lang ang lahat ng pagchange wardrobe at hmu, they still delivered very very well.  I had 3 make up and hair style changes.

They also followed us sa shoot, to retouch our hair and make up. As i've said, feeling model and celebrity lang kami that day because of them.hehe. Thank you so much Ces and Kaye!

My Make-up artist's name is Ces Tecson: http://cestecson.com
She's very accomodationg and madami siyang advices how to take care of your skin, face, etc.
I love her! Highy recommended!

Road Trip #20: The One with the Pantabangan Prenup

We're done with our first (practice) prenup, now we have to proceed with the main shoot with our wedding photographer.

The first thing that we have to decide is the venue. We wanted to have our shoot sa place na hindi masyadong popular for prenup and since my mother is originally from there, we decided with Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.
Second was the schedule, we checked with RF (Raymond Fortun) his schedule for November and we got November 4 as the best date.
The last major thing is the hmua, I got Ces Tecson for this. (See other blog for the kwento for this on this link)

Come Novemeber 4, supported by my whole angkan (as in 20 yata kami.hehe), go na kami sa Pantabangan.
Nauna na kami kay RF with the HMUA team para makapagmake up na ko. I was forewarned kasi na RF is really strict sa time.

We ate first para naman may energy sa shoot, after nun we first have the 'briefing' which I expected naman dahil napanood ko sa feature niya sa Powerhouse.
Our burred picture while RF is briefing us.
We appreciate this briefing, he taught us basic poses, how to smile, etc. This also serves us our "breaking-the-ice" since RF is really intimidating at first.

Then we proceed with the shoot. The shoot lasted 3 hours including wardrobe and hmu changes. (As i've mentioned, RF really values time and factor na din siguro na ang layo pa ng uuwian niya)

Though limited time, we still enjoyed the shoot. Feeling ko model talaga ko.hehe. Our first prenup kasi is very relax and casual lang.

This is the picture of the whole team:

Road Trip #19: The One with the BTS of Prenup

On our prenup, we are accompanied by my bridesmaids, Judz and Ate Raqs. They gave us moral support and served as backup/bts photographer (judz) and on-location hmua for retouch (ate raqs).
Thank you, housemates! :)

Road Trip #18: The One with the First Prenup Shoot

Date: September 30, 2012
Venue: University of the Philippines - Los Banos
Photographers: Framed Up Productions
HMUA: Anne Garcia's Face Art

We decided to have a PRE-prenup in our Alma Mater since dun kami nagkakilala and the place is a big part of our story. :)
And we wanted to have a practice before our Prenup with our Main Photographer and the Wedding.
Since this is just a 'NICE-TO-HAVE' shoot, I have to look for affordable suppliers to do the shoot. With the help of W@W, I shortlisted some photographers na gusto ko yung mga Portfolios, inquired and haggle with them. Among the list, Framed Up Productions replied fast and gave us a very good price. And with that, we decided to book them.
Regarding naman sa HMUA, I already have an Entourage HMUA in mind before pa, I decided to try her na din and use it for this prenup. (See my other blog for this)

We started the prenup shoot around 12pm yata. We started with solo shots para daw sa facebook profile.hahaha. Then, couple shots na. :)
We have 3 sets of clothes na ginamit during the shoot, and we have initial plans on what particular place to use each set. Pero ang tagal pala magshoot on each venue, kaya hindi na natuloy lahat ng planned venue namin. Pero okay pa din kasi mostly sa mga ginamit naming venue, wala akong picture dun from my college years.

We have yet to see the Raw Pictures from FUP, but from the teasers they have posted in Facebook...
We love it! :)

Teaser Pictures from Peter:

This is a picture from 'Kwek kwek tower'. I really don't remember the actual name of this tower.

From gilid ng Main Library:
The last picture is from SU Building. :)
Syempre, hindi pwedeng mawala ang picture with Oble!

Road Trip #17: The One with the Face Art

I had my trial with the Entourage HMUA that I am eyeing last September 30, 2012.
I used it for my Prenup shoot in UPLB. I didn't hire her for an on-location HMUA kaya I opt to try her Airbrush make-up para it will last longer.

We went early, around 6am sa Condo niya. This is where she lives with her family. Nameet namin ang kanyang cute na baby. :)
Right after we arrived, nagstart na agad ang make up.
(She has this make up booth with mirror and light bulbs that will make you feel like a celebrity. This is my first time na magpamake-up na hindi sa parlor, please excuse my ignorance.hehe).
She started with concealing my pimples, then foundation na. (Foundation lang pala ang ginagamitan ng airbrush, akala ko lahat.hehe.)Then, she moved on sa eyes where she did na pinakamatagal. I especially liked the eyebrow, ang linis lang. She asked me kung anong colors ng isusuot ko, after I told her nagdecide na sya on what color to put on my eyes, cheeks and lips.

Tahimik lang siyang magmake up with konting mga comments and advices, but it is not awkward naman. Sabi nya ang advise nya sa mga brides nya with soft hair (stubborn hair) ay wag mag conditioner for a week or mag-bareta (laundry soap bar) day before the wedding para it will be easier to set come the wedding day.

Here's my look after the make-up session with Anne. (I forgot to take the BEFORE look).

Picture of me and Anne.

Since nagustuhan ko yung make up nya, I booked her na din agad for Entourage of my friend's wedding  and mine. Another check on my list! Yehey!

Road Trip #16: The One with the first fitting of 'The GOWN'

I had my first fitting with tito Boy last Sept. 23, 2012. And I was so happy with the results!

There's a bride na nagfi-fit nung dumating kami.

We have to wait for my turn, kasi kasama nung bride before me ang buong family nya and syempre she consulted with them pa.

Here are some pictures of the fitting:

I got so excited with my gown after seeing the shell.

I tried to sit down if comfortable pa din at nakakahinga pa ko. Ok naman but i have fats na visible sa likod (I need to work on that area, but I don't know how...)

We are scheduled for 2nd fitting of my bridal gown on the 2nd week of November, sabay na din ang Suit fitting ni h2b. We are both excited!

Road Trip #15: The One with the flower wand

Because of the two day suspension of work, I was able to finish one flower wand for my flower girls.
Here's the finish product...

For the flowers, I used soft felt fabric and cut it into 3 different flower sizes.

Sew each petal of each flower.

Put 2 sizes into 1 flower and put a bead on top of it. With my 3 sizes, i came up with two different resulting flower.

And then, stick the flower into the styro ball. Punuin yung ball with flowers, and put leaves on the bottom of the wall.

(For a more detailed tutorial, follow this link)

That's it!
Buti na lang my housemate helped me in sewing (Thanks Judith!)
